Family-Owned · Clinton, Massachusetts

21 Years of Excellence. One Family's Commitment.

Koryo Martial Arts has been training students in Clinton since August 2004. When Janice and Nathan Roseberry took ownership in January 2022, they brought with them over 21 years of personal training history at this very school — and a commitment to make it something the community could truly be proud of.

WE DIDN'T JUST TAKE OVER A SCHOOL. WE CAME HOME.

Janice and Nathan Roseberry aren't newcomers to these mats — they've been training here since the very beginning. When the dojang opened in August 2004, they walked through the door just weeks later as students. Over the years they became instructors, mentors, and leaders within the school community.

When the opportunity came to take ownership in January 2022, it wasn't a business decision — it was a calling. They had over 21 years invested in this place, and they knew exactly what it could become.

NEW MATS. NEW NAME. A HIGHER STANDARD.

Since taking ownership in January 2022, we've refreshed everything — new mats, a new name, and a renewed commitment to making this the best martial arts school in the region.  We renamed the dojang to Koryo Martial Arts — a name that reflects the Korean martial arts heritage at the heart of what we do, and the fresh culture of integrity that Janice and Nathan brought with them.

Our commitment is straightforward: every student who walks through our door deserves qualified instruction, a safe environment, and a community that has their back. We hold ourselves to that standard every single class.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS & OWNERS

Janice Roseberry Owner & Head Taekwondo Instructor

Janice has been training on these mats since the school opened in August 2004 — over 21 years of martial arts experience in this very building. She leads all Taekwondo programs, from our youngest preschool students through adult classes, and has a natural gift for connecting with students of every age. Janice believes that martial arts should be accessible, fun, and genuinely life-changing for every student who steps on the mat.

Nathan Roseberry Owner & Instructor — Kickboxing & Kumdo

Nathan has been a part of this school since shortly after it opened in 2004. As co-owner and instructor, he leads our Kickboxing and Kumdo programs, bringing deep technical knowledge and a passion for real-world fitness and self-defense. Nathan's classes are challenging, welcoming, and built around the belief that martial arts training should make you stronger in every area of your life.

THE KORYO STANDARD

Integrity

We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of our students. On and off the mats, we do what we say we'll do.

Safety

Every parent who trusts us with their child deserves a school where safety is never a question. We take that responsibility seriously.

Community

We've been a part of Clinton for over 21 years. This isn't just a business — it's a relationship with our neighbors.

Growth

Every student starts somewhere. We meet people where they are and guide them as far as they want to go.

Respect

The foundation of every martial art and the first thing we teach — respect for yourself, your instructors, and your peers.

Excellence

We never settle for good enough. From curriculum to culture, we are always raising the bar.
